BMW X4 User Reviews

" I picked the car up at the end of april after a 6 month wait, I chose the XLine over the M Sport as I simply did not like the grills in the M Sport bumpers, for a new models, The interior has already got a dated feel in truth - you don't get this with the test drive cars with everything possible fitted..., I chose the standard business NAV sadly it comes with an instrument cluster thats 10 years old, And while Every other model in the BMW range offers an upgrade and even the 1 series offers a £125 upgrade which feels far more modern the X3/X4 range does not - the instruments are like an old 2005 3 series but with a small colour screen where all information is bunched up and not really clear when driving which is my main gripe with them... The seats can be found in a 2004 X3 - its meant to be a new model, even the newer 1 & 3 series manage different seat styles to that older versions, and the dash can be found from a 2010 X3 - but now comes with some chrome bits… This is disappointing and come time to sell the car its going to feel older than it is… and thats a shame as the exterior is fresh in appearance, although not to everyones taste is great and has real presents on the road, I chose the 2.0 diesel in manual form as I like to be active when driving, and so far at best I have seen 37mpg.. and thats driving like a saint.. I have not seen 40mpg yet… so its not much better than the 2.0 diesel 2005 3 series with 180,000 on the clock in terms of mpg… I have noticed that when it rains or you get the car washed water holds up in the roof by the tailgate top, and when you open the boot if anybody is in the rear they will get wet.. as the rear passenger sits so close to that rear… On the whole it is a great car, but I'm left a little flat and less that enthusiastic - at the time I test drove Audi's Q3,Q5 & Q7, Range Rover Evoque but I'm a BMW guy and prefer the drive quality over the others, the X6 as with the X5 I felt were just too big for UK roads and general use, so they were only not in the running for that reason.. But on reflection maybe the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe xDrive may have been the better choice.. "

" Very economical, only downside no spare wheel an runs on run flats so every puncture equals new tyre no matter even if it's a brand new tyre. "
