I have just read a review above from back in 2014, i am most disappointed to see this gentleman calling himself SL leaving a review that is not honest and containing false information, I can remember the situation very well, as he was rather rude on the phone and promised to write a bad review, firstly the car was leased by the owner from GE Capital when new and he then purchased the car from them when the lease came to an end, hence GE Capital are registered as the first owner, secondly, at no point did i agree to hold the car for him, As he says in his review, I had informed him i had other interest in the car, however i did say i would hold the car for him when he confirms he is on his way, i would never make an appointment and then sell the car to someone else, this would be unacceptable behaviour, this gentleman also had the opportunity of leaving a small deposit to secure the car, which would be fully refundable if the car was misdescribed on his arrival, but he declined. I understand his frustration of missing out on the car, but you have to take into account that the car was a 7 year old Mondeo estate with just 13.000 miles, this is a very rare find and not something that you can just find for sale anywhere. Later that day having not heard anything from Mr SL, I received a call from a customer that i had spoken to previously who was happy to go ahead and leave a deposit. I do not believe i have done anything wrong, we are at the end of the day a business and we are here to sell cars, we receive many calls, just like other dealer from customers who say they are coming to us or even make appointments and don't even show up. And finally, he claims i used the word cos, this word is not even in my vocabulary and i don't think any professional car dealer would use that word when talking to a potential customer. I have now purchased 3 cars from Autostation over a 10 year period, i have been exceptionally happy with all 3 cars and i have never had any problems with any of them, i am very much a believer in paying extra for low mileage and high quality and this place certainly gives you that every time, well done, keep it up.
