Alfa Romeo MiTo Multiair
Alfa Romeo have stepped up again and brought revolutionary MultiAir technology to the successful Alfa Romeo MiTo.
Alfa Romeo have stepped up again and brought revolutionary MultiAir technology to the successful Alfa Romeo MiTo. The evolution underlines the company's on-going commitment to reconcile lower emissions and fuel consumption with higher performance and driver satisfaction for an increasingly extensive, smart and environmentally aware audience. MultiAir makes a huge difference, the 1.4 TB MultiAir 135bhp compared to the 1.4 TB 120bhp reduces Co2 emissions by over 10%, maximum power is increased by 12.5%, acceleration (0-62mph) is reduced by up to 0.4 seconds and fuel consumption is reduced by up to 10%.
The new Euro 5-ready 1.4 litre MultiAir engine developed and patented by Fiat Powertrains Technologies (FPT) is offered in two turbocharged forms.
The135bhp version of the unit powers the £15,165 Lusso and £16,135 Veloce, while the range-topping £17,895 Cloverleaf boasts 170bhp and a 0-62mph time of just 7.5 seconds, but a combined fuel consumption of 47.1 mpg.
The Alfa MiTo is a three-door only, but there is proper space in the back for two adults. The new Alfa MiTo is stylish, sporty and economical. It has big goggle headlamps flaired wheel arches and curves on curves, it looks a lot cuter than the mini and could give be the minis strongest rival.
