The Audi R8 has been awarded the 2010 World Performance Car at the World Car of the Year Awards at the New York Auto Show. This is the second win for the Audi R8 as the V8 powered R8 took the award in 2008.
The Audi R8 V10 is powered by a 5.2 litre direct injection ten cylinder engine which develops 525PS which enables the car to achieve 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 196mph. The Audi R8 features technologies such as Quattro’s permanent all-wheel drive, a lightweight aluminium body and innovative all-LED lights.
Audi have produced a supercar than can genuinely be used every day with a build quality that will last. The interior of the Audi R8 is beautifully constructed with polished alloy highlights for the steering wheel spokes and instrument surrounds. The Audi R8 also has a half decent sized boot at approximately 102 litres which is not bad for a supercar.
