Baby Range Rover named the ‘Evoque’

Land Rover has now created the smallest member or the Range Rover family the Range Rover Evoque.

The Range Rover Evoque swaps the traditional square lines of it big brother Range Rover for a much more dynamic and sleeker look which will attract newer and younger customers. The Range Rover Evoque will be the first Land Rover with the option of two wheel drive which will add to its much improved fuel economy, reduce its weight and help to reduce emissions to approximately 130g/km. It is the most economical Range Rover with a 2.2 litre diesel engine expected to get close to 50mpg with stop/start technology.

The Range Rover Evoque will go on sale next year and will have an attractive and affordable price tag starting at around £

35,000. It is set to be the best selling model and will create 1000 new jobs at the firms Halewood factory in Merseyside. There is expected to be an electric/hybrid version of the Range Rover Evoque produced in 2012/2013.
