Chrysler Grand Voyager Details

Chrysler has revealed the UK line-up for the new Chrysler Grand Voyager, which was revealed at this year's Detroit Show in January and will go on sale here in February 2008.

Compared with the outgoing Grand Voyager, the next-generation seven-seater has more than 30 new features including heated seats in the first and second rows, an interior conversation mirror, a removable torch in the rear quarter panel, electric windows in the sliding rear doors, movable LED reading lamps and three-zone climate control air-conditioning.

The familiar Stow 'n Go seating system (which allows the five rear seats to be folded into the floor) is carried over, and as an option the top-spec Limited trim level can be ordered with a new piece of trickery known as Swivel 'n Go.

This clever set-up allows the second-row seats to be turned through 180 degrees so that their occupants can have face-to-face conversations with the people in the third row. It also features covered floor storage bins and four-way electric reclining of the third-row seat.

Options for all models include a dual-DVD entertainment system so that passengers in the second row can play a different game or watch a different film from those in the third, and a MyGIG infotainment system which provides MP3 compatibility, a touch screen and voice-controlled navigation, and can store approximately 1600 songs on its integrated 20GB hard drive.

Three of the four models in the range use a 2.8-litre CRD turbo diesel engine and six-speed automatic transmission. Trim levels are LX (£ 25,995), Touring (£

27,995) and Limited (£ 32,995). A 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine (which we suspect will be devastatingly unpopular in the UK) is also available in Limited form, again with an automatic gearbox and costing £ 32,995.
