A Porsche 911 993 Carrera 2 S once owned by international football star David Beckham has gone up for sale in the UK.
The 11-year-old Porsche was bought by Beckham in 1997 and was with him through his infamous red card incident against Argentina when playing for England in 1998, and also with him in 1999 when he was part of the treble-winning Manchester United team. Thankfully, when Beckham bought the car he decided to avoid the bling factor, so only lavished the Porsche with tasteful extras like grey leather sports seats and blue carpets to match the Zenith Blue metallic paint. It was also delivered with, lowered suspension, air conditioning, clear C4 lenses, tiptronic gearbox, sunroof and bigger 18” alloy wheels.
In many peoples opinion this is the nicest Porsche Beckham has owned. The 911 itself was delivered new to David Beckham on the 1st August 1997, and since then has covered 25,000 miles and had four owners. There is also full supporting paperwork including full Porsche service history, including one from a well known independent Porsche specialist, the DVLA registration application in David Beckham’s name and all the publications featuring the car.
The car is up for sale on Paul Stephens, an Independent Porsche Specialist, and potential new owners are invited to make offers, although if the sales of Beckham’s previous cars are anything to go by, like his BMW M3 which sold in 2005 for over £90,000, or his matt-black Porsche 997 Cabriolet which sold earlier this year on US ebay site for the equivalent of £136,000, then this 11-year-old Porker won’t be cheap.
