Four and half years after the launch of the Fiat 500 figures revealed show that the 100,000th car was sold in the UK last month proving the city car is an outstanding success.
Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK Ltd said “we were always confident that the 100,000 landmark would come, it’s a wonderful achievement and I am sure that we will see many more sales successes in the years to come.”
The Fiat 500 city won the Green Apple Gold Award for Green Vehicles, Coupes and Cabriolets last year at the International Green Apple Awards.
It is available with a choice of ultra-low emissions Euro 5 engines: 85 bhp 0.9-litre TwinAir, 69 bhp 1.2-litre and 95 bhp 1.3-litre MultiJet turbodiesel.
The popular three door hatchback has been released over the years in a number of limited edition versions such as 500 Pink, 500 Matt Black, 500byGucci, and 500byDiesel it has a starting price of just £9,960 OTR for the 1.2 Pop, representing outstanding value for money.
