Interest free credit still tops wish list for new car buyers

0% finance offers are the most attractive to the public when it comes to choosing a new car, according to statistics from motoring.co.uk.

22 percent of users chose to search in this way in June, with scrappage searches a close second at 19%. General finance offers took a total of 38% of the enquiries.

The least attractive deals to consumers were servicing and free upgrade offers, with only 3% and 1%of search respectively.

The favourite brand searched on was Ford, with the top-selling new Fiesta predictably the number one model found.

New car buyers are increasingly turning to the internet to help them find information on their prospective purchase, with over 60% looking for information online. Motoring.co.uk has every make and model of new car listed online, with deals from every major manufacturer. It is the only consumer portal where buyers can find cars by whatever criteria they choose, from finance to miles per gallon to emissions.
