Ford Focus is Europe’s ‘Best in Class’ small family car

Euro NCAP, the independent car safety organisation has named the Ford Focus Europe’s ‘Best in Class’ small family car. The Ford Focus scooped one of only five best in class awards on the strength of its maximum five-star Euro NCAP rating as well as four Euro NCAP Advanced rewards last year, an achievement which is unmatched by any other high-volume car.

The Focus five-star rating was achieved through an adult occupant score of 92 per cent, child occupant rating of 82 per cent, pedestrian score of 72 per cent and safety assist rating of 71 per cent.

There is an impressive new equipment list of high technology features on all new Ford Focus models. Standard equipment across the range includes Ford’s Torque Vectoring Control this electronic system balances the distribution of engine torque between the driven front wheels to optimise grip and stability irrespective of driving conditions or road surfaces.
