The Peugeot 3008 continues the marque's tradition of innovation by merging three vehicles into one. Peugeot claim this distinctive new model has the flexibility of an MPV, the rugged style of an SUV, and the dynamics of a family hatchback. It is arguably the Swiss army knife of motoring - minus the miniature toothpick.
This pocket sized tool is available with a choice of five engines, in Active, Sport, and Exclusive trim. Active specification includes, leather steering wheel, CD player, and air-conditioning. Sport specification adds, 17" alloy wheels and cruise control, and Exclusive models feature, panoramic glass roof, head-up display, and parking sensors. Sadly, plans to include a nail file were reluctantly dropped.
Another tool is the Peugeot's arsenal is excellent safety. Euro NCAP, the independent body assesing vehicle design, awarded the 3008 the maximum five stars. This is broken down into, adult occupant - 86%, child occupant - 81%, pedestrian - 31%, and safety assist driver aids - 97%. Just be careful not to trap your fingers in the miniature pliers.
The Peugeot 3008 is available from November priced at £15,995 to £21,895 on-the-road.
