Kia reveals first all electric plug in car

The Kia Venga EV concept was revealed at the Geneva motor show

The Kia Venga EV concept was revealed at the Geneva motor show. This is the first all electric plug in car for Kia.

The Kia Venga EV features an electric motor which is equivalent to 107bhp and produces 206lb ft of torque. It can reach 0-62 mph in 11.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 87mph. The electric motor powers the front wheels and sits in the engine bay while the battery pack is situated under the boot floor. The Kia Venga EV uses a lithium ion polymer battery pack; this gives the Kia Venga EV a range of 112 miles. Using the cars quick charge function eight per cent of the battery pack can be charged in twenty minutes. A full charge would be approximately eight hours.

Kia have also recently launched a new Kia C’eed 1.6 diesel EcoDynamics model which has Co2 emissions of only 98g/km, other eco saving adjustments on this new model include lower suspension, low resistance tyres and a new rear spoiler.
