Kia Rio Facelift
The Kia Rio has experienced a recent facelift
The Kia Rio has experienced a recent facelift which makes it look very similar to the Kia C’eed. There are two engines availed a 1.4 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel. The diesel option seems to be the preferred choice, it produces decent power and clean emissions that meet Euro 4 criteria.
Performance of the 110PS 1.5 diesel unit is highly competitive. The 16-valve engine delivers 235 Nm of torque at just 2,000 rpm, so you shouldn’t have to row this Kia Rio along with the gearlever. The latest Kia Rio has a revised suspension geometry which offers a little more refinement over ruts and potholes without sacrificing the fun factor.
The Kia Rio still revels in its affordability, with prices starting at under £8,000 for the entry-level model with an added seven year warranty. There is only one body style, a five door hatch with three equipment levels, 1, 2 and ‘Graphite. Front airbags are standard on all models while side and curtain bags come with model 1 and 2 with added alloys and air conditioning.
The Kia Rio is roomy good to drive and great value and lots better than its budget rivals.
