The London Marathon is only weeks away and Emma Green (General Manager) and Geraldine Ashton-Green (news writer) at Motoring.co.uk are pounding the streets at weekends and weeknights in anticipation of the much loved yearly fund raising event. The girls are running for Team PB the charity that raises money for Prostate and Breast Cancer. Also, the Animal Support Volunteers a local animal charity.

One in three people are affected by cancer today. The girls chose the PB Charity as it is close to their hearts as Geraldine’s father has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer and Emma’s mum survived breast cancer some time ago. Geraldine and Emma have been attending stamina and strength training classes with Cheshire fitness twice a week together with a short run in the week of approximately six miles and then a long run at the weekends. Although injuries have set them back on several occasions they are now back on track and injury free and looking forward to the big day on the 22nd April.

Wish them luck and if you would like to sponsor them follow the link http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/GeraldineAshton-Green and http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/emmagreen2012#.T1CkwNPSRjY.twitter
