New award for the Peugeot 5008
The Peugeot 5008 has been voted ‘Scottish MPV of the Year’
The Peugeot 5008 has been voted ‘Scottish MPV of the Year’ by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers. The seven seat Peugeot 5008 has already won What Car? ‘Best MPV’ and What Car? ‘Green Awards MPV’ and Diesel Car Magazine’s ‘MPV of the Year’ with its ultimate ‘Car of the Year’ accolade placing it above all other diesel vehicles.
The Peugeot 5008 has a new sharper face and a more chiselled and shapely rear that gives it a more dynamic and sleeker shape. It has a class leading interior with a ‘driver’s cockpit’ ambience with a versatile seven seat layout.
The Peugeot 5008 is available with a wide choice of petrol and diesel engines, the most popular will probably being 1,560cc, 110bhp diesel Sport version with up to 192lb ft of torque at 1,750rpm. Trim levels are Active, Sport and Exclusive. Equipment levels and options cover a broad span and can include an excellent head-up display, and a multimedia system with screens in the front seat headrests. A panoramic roof is standard on the Exclusive but this is non opening. For its type it rides and handles well and does not feel clumsy when manoeuvring in tight spaces. It is highly aerodynamic and cruises quietly; in fact it seems the Peugeot 5008 is fun to drive.
