New Fiat 500 Performs With Jennifer Lopez

Nope, this is not a joke. The Fiat 500 has 'performed' alongside Jennifer Lopez at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles. I had no idea that cars can sing? Earlier this year, Fiat announced its collaboration with the American musical maestro. It includes placement of the Fiat 500C in her latest music video – Papi - as well as in a thirty-second second trailer of the video. Lopez also stars in two commercials for the brand broadcast in the US.

Olivier Francois, CEO of the Fiat brand, commented: The Fiat brand is honoured to share the stage with Jennifer Lopez at the 2011 American Music Awards.

Her drive and determination is the common thread that is shared with the brand and our philosophy of Life is Best When Driven.”

The Fiat 500 is a tremendously popular city car. Strengths include: pin-sharp handling, super-stylish looks, and a more robust feel than some old Italian cars. So, if fun-focussed fashion and low price are your priorities – this plaything should be on your shopping list. Not too sure about its 'on-stage' dancing though. Whereas Jennifer Lopez looks sleek and her timing is perfect, the 500 is less accomplished. What would the judges on Strictly say?
