New Honda Civic Excels at Euro NCAP

Good news... the Honda Civic has excelled at safety tests performed by Euro NCAP

Good news... the Honda Civic has excelled at safety tests performed by Euro NCAP – the independent vehicle assessors. In fact, this small family car earned the maximum five- star overall rating making it one of the safest vehicles in its class. Very reassuring. The five-star rating breaks down to scores of 94% for adult occupant protection, 83% for child occupants, and 69% for pedestrians. This mile-muncher also earned 86% for the safety assist category, which includes features such as the Civic's electronic stability programme.

The Honda Civic has other strengths to complement its safety rating. For starters, it is a Honda, so it feels more robust than a boxer's jaw. It also has a 477-litre boot, which is monstrously large for the class. The Ford Focus has 316-litres, in contrast. There are plenty of toys too, so even the basic version has: climate control, four electric windows, and MP3 connectivity. High-spec trims have parking cameras too. Then there is the handling. This workhorse feels secure, has responsive steering, smooth transmission, and a comfortable ride. It even looks rather stylish. There is no reason on Earth not to buy one.
