Fancy a brand new slightly old Kia c'eed? If so, best be quick. Its manufacturer, you see,
has launched the 'new' Kia c'eed but still has a few previous generation models clogging-
up its showrooms. As such, these have been reduced. Fancy a few examples? The
pro_cee’d 1.4 ‘1’ - which is the three-door hatchback version - now has a starting price
of £10,800. That is a £2,500 reduction compared to its previous list price. Alternatively,
the top-of-the-range Kia cee’d SW 1.6 CRDi ‘4’ – which is an estate - now costs £16,845
a £3,500 saving. Finally, the five-door hatchback model costs from £11,000 a £2,500
saving.
Now, I know what you are thinking.
Who wants to spend hard earned cash on an old
model? Whereas the out-going c'eed is showing its age - it is still a capable car. It was,
after all, a major step forward for its manufacturer in 2007 and a respectable alternative
to its mainstream rivals. As such this workhorse is pleasant to drive, practical, nicely
equipped, and attractive. It also feels properly screwed together, and is backed-up by
a seven year warranty. That alone makes it worthy of consideration. But most of all,
particularly now, the out-going Kia c'eed is great value for money. Where else can you
buy a family car for £11,000 with a seven year warranty? R.I.P. Kia c'eed. We miss you
already.
