New Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition
The Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition sounds like a piece of jewellery.
The Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition sounds like a piece of jewellery. However, I find this
special edition's high specification far more interesting than bracelets, rings, and those silly
little bead things. There is a certain woman in my life who disagrees. Either way, this top-
of-the-range mud-plunger has various features to elevate it above its silver plated siblings.
For starters, the front and rear have extra protection plates under the bumpers, so this
workhorse is better suited to the rough stuff. The profile is enhanced too, so it has chrome
side steps and attractive door protection mouldings. Never seen that on a pair of earrings.
The Nissan X-Trail Platinum Edition also has a super-special interior.
Features include the:
electric heated front seats, touch-screen communication unit with satellite navigation, iPod
connectivity, and Bluetooth. There is also a reversing camera that transmits its image to a
small screen in the rear-view mirror. Witchcraft! This high-spec 4x4 is powered by a 2.0-
litre 173PS diesel engine. This, in six-speed manual form, propels the X-Trail to 62mph
in 10 seconds and averages 44.1mpg. Good car then, especially as it costs from only
£29,180. That is less than the trim it is based on, so drivers can afford a platinum ring too.
