New Porsche Boxster Spyder hits UK in February

The new Porsche Boxster Spyder will hit the UK in February with prices starting at £45,000.

Included in the purchase price is the invitation for customers to explore the dynamic attributes of their Boxster Spyder, and develop their own skills behind the wheel.

The new model becomes the third version in the Boxster range, joining the Boxster and Boxster S, yet stands out clearly at first sight from the other versions of the mid-engined roadster, quite simply because the Porsche Boxster Spyder has been developed first and foremost for driving in the open air.

It is more powerful than the Porsche S and 80kg lighter much of this is due to ditching the Boxster’s automatic roof mechanism system and replacing it with a manually operated canvas which folds away under a new double bubble rear canopy.

Equipped with the Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) twin-clutch transmission and the Sports Chrono Package, the new Porsche Boxster Spyder, using Launch Control, accelerates from a 0- 62mph in 4.8 seconds.
