Rejoice! We finally know the complete specification for the mighty Toyota GT86. But first
things first... what is this remarkable machine? According to its manufacturer, the GT86
is the world's most compact four-seater. As such, its length is 4,240mm - which is only
290mm more than a Ford Fiesta. Never fear though, great things come in small packages.
The styling, for starters, is a major plus. It looks striking and purposeful thanks to its
bulging bonnet and aggressive grill, after all. We can also finally confirm that it has
seventeen-inch alloy wheels, chrome finish duel exhaust pipes, and a prominent rear
spoiler.
Seven colours are available, including: Dark Red, Silver metallic, Black metallic,
Blue metallic, Dark Red metallic, Orange metallic and Pearl pearlescent. What about pink?
The Toyota GT86 has a 2.0-litre flat-four engine, that can be teamed with six-speed
manual or six-speed auto transmission. This produces 197bhp, which is plenty in a car
the size of a mouse. The race to 62mph takes around seven seconds, which is how long it
takes to decide you love the GT86. Top speed is in the region of 145mph. This beauty also
has super-sharp handling thanks – in part – to its limited slip differential and near-perfect
front to rear weight distribution. Toys include the: six-speaker audio system, LED running
lights, duel-zone climate control, hill-start assist, and aluminium peddles. All from £24,995.
