New updated BMW X5 on sale June
Greater performance, lower emissions and facelift for new X5
The BMW X5 will receive numerous updates including engines changes with greater performance and lower emissions and updated facelift. These exterior changes on the new BMW X5 include revised front bumpers with enlarged vents which will increase the air supply to the engine and brakes, and matt aluminium-look lower scuff plates and vent fins to underscore its performance credentials. There will be new xenon headlights with bright white LED corona rings giving a more modernized look. The rear of the BMW X5 has revised red light cluster enhancing the lines of the car with horizontal LED light bars. Enlarged tail pipes, within a redesigned rear bumper, finish off the look.
The new engines will be launched for the xDrive30d, xDrive40d replacing the xDrive35d and the xDrive50i replacing the xDrive48i.
All of the new powerplants now meet EU5 standards. The BMW X5 xDrive 30d consumes just 38.2mpg on the combined cycle and emits only 195g/km co2 emissions. It is capable of 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds.The BMW X5 xDrive40d has improved co2 emissions of ten percent emitting only198/km and delivering 37.7mpg on the combined cycle. There are wider range of high-tech options available, including Lane Departure Warning, Active Cruise Control with ‘Stop and Go’ function, speed limit display and side-view cameras. Prices start at £43,980.
