Nissan Qashqai is ‘Crossover of the Year’

The popular and more importantly successful Nissan Qashqai has been awarded the ‘2013 Business Car award for Crossover of the Year’

The popular and more importantly successful Nissan Qashqai has been awarded the ‘2013 Business Car award for Crossover of the Year’. The Qashqai’s distinctive looks and ‘a drive that surpasses expectations’ helped the Nissan Qashqai earn the award.

Jon Pollock, Nissan’s Corporate Sales Director said “we’re delighted to win the inaugural Business Car Crossover of the Year award. The Qashqai has been a strong seller to fleets and residuals have remained strong, a trend we expect to continue through 2013 as fleets recognise the growing size and attractiveness of this sector.”

The Nissan Qashqai has been incredibly successful, priced from £16,595 more than one thousand two hundred are produced each day keeping the production line in Sunderland working round the clock. The Qashqai now amounts to fifty percent of the total Nissan fleet sales. The Qashqai offers a lot of car for the money, it is not quite a 4x4 but it is more than just a hatchback, it is spacious inside with plenty of head and leg room and there is enough space on the back seat for three people without feeling squashed. Four engine options are available including a 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre petrol plus the choice of a 1.5 and 2.0 litre diesel. Standard features on just the entry level are generous including air conditioning alloy wheels CD player, four powered windows and a Bluetooth hands free telephone kit. Due to the Qashqai being such a success story there was never any doubt Nissan would bring another version of the Qashqai onto the market and hey presto the Nissan Qashqai 360 has recently been launched, this new version starts at £19,945 and includes Nissan Connect with 360° Around View Monitor to aid parking and reversing. The new 360 package is available across all engine and transmission options and can be specified on the Qashqai and Qashqai+2. The exterior of the Nissan Qashqai 360 boasts‘360’ badges and there is also a new exterior paint offered called ‘Storm White’ which is the perfect contrast to the 360’s gloss black highlights.

The new Qashqai 360’ replaces the former model the n-tec+ which outsold the Kia Sportage and Hyundai ix35 and is set to be this year’s best seller.

It competes on price against most of cars of similar spec and quality, and it appeals to just about everyone, young or old, male or female, the Qashqai is a force to be reckoned with.
