Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T
The Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T has plenty of extras to entice shoppers
The Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T has plenty of extras to entice shoppers
to open their wallets. Consider the specification, for starers. Features include the: new
eighteen-inch alloys, unique contrasting seat fabric, and the silver coloured roof rails and
bonnet side vents. These elevate this workhorse above the model it is based on – the
high-end 1.9DDiS. This 4x4 also has a tailgate mounted spare wheel, cruise control, and
keyless entry and start systems. Nice features, especially as the SZ-T only costs £22,315.
The Suzuki Grand Vitara Special Edition SZ-T produces 129bhp, which propels it to
62mph in 13.2 seconds and on to 106mph. Not particularly fast then, but fast enough for
many. On the plus side, this diesel-powered mile-muncher has sensible running costs
considering its class.
Expect to average 41.5mpg and to return 47.1mpg on the extra-
urban cycle. Emissions are 179g/km, placing this five-speed manual in road tax band I/
£210. As such, it shares the honour of being the most fuel efficient and least polluting trim.
Further strengths include its impressive build quality that feels reassuringly Japanese. The
handling is pleasing too, although it prefers to waft along than race. Off-road this 4x4 feels
competent, but it suits modest mounds more than monstrous mountains. Furthermore the
ride is fairly comfortable, there is enough room for five occupants, and it has a respectable
398-litre boot. That is marginally larger than the Volkswagen Golf Hatchback. Happy days.
