Used Ford Fiesta Inspires Urban Drivers
Buying a used Ford Fiesta is an experience shared by thousands of motorists from lead-footed teenagers to church loving grannies
Buying a used Ford Fiesta is an experience shared by thousands of motorists from lead-footed teenagers to church loving grannies. The Fiesta may therefore be an obvious purchase but this iconic run-around is also one of the finest superminis on the market.
The previous generation Fiesta was introduced in 2002 and retired to write its memoirs in 2008. Engines range from the 1.25-litre 73bhp unit to the 2.0-litre 147bhp variant that hits 60mph in 7.9 seconds. Motorists who prefer powering their vehicle on diesel can choose from the 1.4-litre 67bhp, or the more flexible 88bhp 1.6-litre.
The Fiesta's handling is everything a motorist could reasonably expect from a used supermini.
Driving through town is easier than reciting the two-times-table thanks to light steering, excellent visibility, and nippy performance. On faster roads the Fiesta remains composed and the comfortably firm suspension keeps body-roll in check.
Ford have produced a wide range of capable vehicles over the last few years. The pint-sized Fiesta is no exception. Despite its over-familiarity and modest badge this popular supermini remains an excellent purchase. Motoring.co.uk's database reveals the used Ford Fiesta is available on a 2007 plate from approximately £5,250.
