Vauxhalls new Corsavan ecoFLEX

Vauxhall's first commercial vehicle featuring start/stop technology is on sale now. The Vauxhall Corsavan ecoFLEX can achieve 70.6mpg which is a twelve percent improvement on the combined cycle over the previous Euro 4 model. All start/stop Vauxhall Corsavan EcoFLEX are fitted with DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) which traps harmful particulates.

Drivers of the new Vauxhall Corsavan ecoFLEX will benefit when using the van in congested city streets, the start/stop function will show the savings on fuel consumption as this system is eighteen percent more economical than the outgoing Euro 4 van without the new technology.

Other improvements to the Vauxhall Corsavan ecoFLEX to ensure the start/stop system is reliable during the vehicles life it has an enhanced starter motor along with a high performance battery and Electric Power Management system, for efficient re-starts. An additional water pump keeps the cabin warm in cool weather during the stop phase, and owners have the ability to turn off Start/Stop completely via a dashboard button.
