  • Skoda Fabia Hatchback
    4.2 out of 5 - 69 Ratings
    Overview
Apost Left The SKODA Fabia comes as a five-door hatchback and unusually for a supermini class vehicle as an estate. The latter has a very large boot considering its footprint. Engines range from slow/economical (1.6-litre 75PS diesel) to fast/entertaining (1.4-litre 180PS petrol). There is therefore something for everyone. The Fabia's competent handling pleases too. High-spec trims have a nice equipment specification but low-end versions arguably feel sparse. Also this supermini which suits those who want something less common than most of its rivals feels nicely built for the money. Good practical machine. Apost Right
  • Skoda Octavia Hatchback
    4.4 out of 5 - 110 Ratings
    Overview
Apost Left The SKODA Octavia is a no-nonsense, small family class, hatchback/estate. Practicality is its focus, so it has a large boot in both forms. The cabin is fairly spacious too. On the road this workhorse feels perfectly competent through the corners but enthusiastic drivers might prefer one of its rivals. Power comes from a range of petrol and diesel engines some of which ensure it is surprisingly fast (0-62mph in 8.4 seconds), others that it is very fuel efficient (74.3mpg). Middle to high-end versions also have plenty of cabin equipment. Apost Right

  • Skoda Citigo Hatchback
    4.6 out of 5 - 16 Ratings
    Overview
Apost Left The SKODA Citigo is a town car that shares parts with the Volkswagen up! and Seat Mii. These are, in fact, more or less the same mechanically but have brand specific styling and trims. The Citigo is available with three or five doors and has a respectable-size boot (251-litres). It is also easy to drive thanks to its tight turning circle and excellent visibility, has rock-bottom running costs, and feels nicely screwed together. Slightly more power might be handy at times but overall this is a capable workhorse. What a fantastic first car. Apost Right

  • Skoda Superb Estate
    4.5 out of 5 - 48 Ratings
    Overview
Apost Left The SKODA Superb is a hatchback/estate that in high-spec form feels like a limousine. Strengths include the excellent ride quality and supportive seats that ensure it is a tremendous motorway cruiser. However, its large proportions can make it tricky to manoeuvre in town. Engines range from the 1.4-litre 125PS petrol to the 3.6-litre 260PS V6 that is teamed with four-wheel-drive - so there are models to suit fuel savers and speed lovers. High-end trims are available with luxury equipment such as a television tuner, ventilated (cooled) front seats, touch-screen sat-nav, and a hill-hold function. Great. Apost Right
  • Skoda Yeti 4x4
    4.4 out of 5 - 41 Ratings
    Overview
Apost Left The SKODA Yeti is a capable family workhorse. Cargo capacity therefore eclipses most cars on the road and the rear seats manoeuvre individually to suit the load. Furthermore, it has sure-footed handling and high-spec versions have four wheel-drive. The latter in particular is helpful when the road is slippery due to ice, etc. - but this family car is not intended for extreme off-roading. Engines range from the 1.2-litre 105PS petrol to the 2.0-litre 170PS diesel which is quick (0-62mph in 8.4 seconds). There is also a 1.6-litre 105PS diesel that averages 61.4mpg and has low emissions. The Yeti feels nicely built too. Apost Right
