Has the ability to do awesome mileages between maintenance periods and parts can be sourced relatively cheaply. Driven steadily it can return 29 mpg on a motorway run reducing to around 25 mpg around town. Not bad for a 3 litre diesel 2 1/2 tonne vehicle. All in all I much prefer the Toyota over all the 4x4s I have owned in the past. "|

|29/01/2014 12:02:25 JOHN REID " My Toyota V8 Landcruiser (the replacement for the Amazon) is an excellent, fast, safe vehicle. While it is large, handling is fairly good on the sport setting. Having seven seats is handy on occasions and the back seats can be stowed away in seconds. A good all round vehicle, but the 4.5 litre diesel engine only gives between 19 and 28 MPG depending on driving conditions. This is my second V8 after having three Amazons previously. Range Rovers may be more elite, but the Landcruiser V8 is totally reliable! "|
