Used Alfa Romeo For Sale
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. But Alfa Romeo cannot be mentioned without spitting out a few cliches. So - even though countless generations have covered this territory - we have to stress that people are "passionate" about the brand's styling as it ooooozes "soul". Why must we consider this? Because more than anything this love and the manufacturer's unquantifiable x-factor has kept it afloat for years. So, who cares that some of the vehicles fail to excel in Warranty Direct's Reliability Index? Who cares that a large proportion of the competitors feel more robust (arguably)? The manufacturer builds beautiful cars that make people faint with delight. It builds cars that - in poster form - cover the walls of thousands of bedrooms throughout the country. As such, these bundles of joy are for thrill seekers that love them with their hearts more than want them with their heads. And why not? The Top Gear lads once claimed that nobody can be a real car nut until they have owned an Alfa Romeo - and there is truth there somewhere.
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Time to spend money on second-hand cars such as the Alfa Romeo Spider (2007 to 2010). Not surprisingly this open-top beauty - which rivals the Audi TT Roadster and BMW Z4 Roadster - has the striking styling associated with the brand plus fun-focussed handling. It is also nicely equipped for its age with dual-zone climate control, key-less start, parking sensors, automatic windscreen wipers and five air-bags one of which is for the knees. Pleasingly, this plaything can be picked-up for very little money. Aim for a full service history and - as it is a sporty convertible - check for signs it has been thrashed such as heavily worn tyre shoulders and an excessive number of invoices for brake pads, etc. Alternatively, the Alfa Romeo 159 Saloon (2006 to 2011) suits those who want the brand's styling in a more practical package. This beast can be recognised by its triple-lens headlights and sweeping profile. Again, it costs remarkably little once it has depreciated for a few years. Other Alfa Romeo offerings include hatchbacks such as the 147, estates such as the 159 Sportwagon, and city cars such as the MiTo. Now, brace for cliches. All these cars "thrill motorists", "set the pulse racing" and "make the open road far more interesting". And here ends the elderly cliches. Sorry.
