Used Ford for sale

The Ford Motor Company produces fantastic cars. That is it. No debate. The end. The manufacturer also has a vehicle to suit virtually every motorist on the road (even that odd bloke in the corner). As such there are town cars which are cheap to run (Ka/Fiesta/Fusion), traditional family cars that are comfortable and nicely equipped (Focus/Mondeo), multi-purpose vehicles that are practical (B-MAX, C-MAX, S-MAX, Galaxy) sports cars that are fun (Focus Coupe-Cabriolet) and four-wheel-drives for light to medium off-road use (Kuga/Ranger). The manufacturer has also knocked-out legendary cars such as the Escort Cosworth that even now can rip your clothes off at five-hundred yards. Now, all these vehicles have their own characteristics but there are manufacturer trends. Recent Fords, for example, tend to have sharper handling than most of their rivals - and in some cases a driver might be forgiven for thinking he/she is piloting something with a more prestigious badge. Fords also tend to be reliable and fairly cheap to fix. Furthermore, it seems that every second car on the road has been stamped with a blue oval badge - so there is lots of second-hand choice for small money.

The Ford Motor Company was founded by Henry Ford in June 1903. One of its most famous cars is the Model T which was produced between 1908 and 1927 and is considered the world's first affordable automobile. Its assembly line - rather than hand-built production process - helped ensure that. Furthermore, it was built all over the world in places such as Manchester (UK), Copenhagen (Denmark), Cork (Ireland) Detroit (USA) and Geelong (Australia). Mr Ford said prior to the launch that: "it will be large enough for the family but small enough for the individual to run and care for. It will be constructed of the best materials, by the best men to be hired, after the simplest designs that modern engineering can devise. But it will be so low in price that no man making a good salary will be unable to own one." And that recipe can still be found on today's cars. In 1922, Ford expanded its reach by buying the Lincoln Motor Company which was - and is - considered more upmarket. Decades later it took ownership of Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin but these have now been sold. That leaves the manufacturer free to continue producing affordable, capable, machinery for the masses.
