Volkswagen Scirocco User Reviews

Sharing underpinnings with the VW Golf, the Scirocco is cheap to run and easy to maintain, the punchy 1.5 litre petrol engine accelerates hard yet cruises comfortably and returns 40mpg on the motorway. Stylish, exclusive, affordable, great fun to drive and more importantly other motorists like to smile, flash their lights and wave - when I go to the petrol station there is always an older guy who used to have one and wants to talk about it. Overall, the Scirocco is the best car Ive ever owned. "|

Excellent performance from the 210 h.p. petrol engine coupled with comfortable leather seats and deceptively spacious interior make it a pleasure to drive. For a sports coupe there is good legroom in the back, although the roof is relatively low and the boot space is larger than you might expect. This is my second Scirocco, but it will not be my last! Seems to be built out of a solid chunk of german steel of plastic (Made in Portugal really) Literally still looks like new 2yrs on, and 25K miles. If ive got any gripes about this car its the VW ACC (adaptive Chassis Control) which seems to do very little apart from sharpen up the steering a little when you want to push it through the 'twisties'. The boot space isn't massive, but the people buy this sort of hatchback probably wouldn't want to cart much around in it - apart from the weeks shopping, or a couple of suitcases. Holds its value well from what ive seen - I would definitely buy another - maybe the R Version next time! "|
