" If your after something young and sporty this isn't it. But if your after something with that has modern looks, space, sturdiness and comfort then here we are. The Touran has typical VW high standard interior and exterior build quality. Ive always been a fan of VW/Audis and the interior of the Touran doesn't disappoint. There are nice slick black gloss and silver trims the plastics do not feel flimsy nor do they feel cheap. The seats are firm but comfortable giving the feeling of support. I have a 1.9L Bluemotion DPF model with the dark grey cloth with grey plastics and factory fitted tinted windows. I have three children under the age of 6 and wanted a car that was safe, reliable with sufficient space and my Touran ticked all the boxes. I can easily fit in my 3 car seats on the 2nd row of seats (baby carrier and two toddler high back seats). The fact its a high roofed car is ideal for getting the little ones in and out of too. The built in sat nav is simple to use and has two display area - one is in the centre of the dash and is in colour the other is displayed for the driver only (where the speedo is) and shows arrows indicating the direction you need to take. note: you can only use the sat nav function with the disc provided inserted meaning that you cant use audio CDs at the same time. The second row of seats are individual seats which each can be slid forward and also completely removed if needed. There is ample storage space - think i counted 3 compartments for sunglasses, 2 underfloor compartments, 6 cupholders deep/cooled glove box, armrest compartment, hidden storage under front passenger seat to name a few. There are also two trays located behind the driver and passenger seats. The 3rd row of seats are easy to flip up and flip back down (you can also do this with the 2nd row of seats) For adults its a tad awkward for them to access the 3rd row but once in the leg room space is sufficient. The boot space when the seats are down is pretty decent (has come in handy for house moves) - you can easily get in an average sized pushchair plus shopping and still have room. When the 3rd seats are up you can only get in a couple of bags in the space left behind them. I have a bluemotion and do do a lot of mileage and i'm quite happy with my fuel consumption. The one thing that i would warn about is diesels with DPFs . Avoid avoid avoid if you are only doing city driving where your in constant stop/start traffic as you'll find (like i did) that the DPF won't be able to regenerate property and the fault light will constantly be coming on. Since moving house I now do a lot more motorway/dual carriageway driving its not so much of an issue as the dpf will have time to regenerate itself and the light hasn't come on in ages. So again avoid the DPF models if only driving in cities. There are lots of things i like about this car, especially the convenience things for example the bulb in my indicator suddenly stopped working...the driver display was able to tell me that it had stopped working and the exact one needed to be replaced (i.e rear left) There is some wind noise when motorway driving but i've noticed when driving at speed if the radio is on the volume auto adjusts and gets louder to mask this. Parking sensors and the auto park are great for getting into tight parking spaces. Overall its a lovely family car, its smooth to drive and nippy (i have a 1.9l). "
