Earlier this year Volkswagen launched their new T-Roc model in showrooms and production began back in October of 2017, which is the same month that the production of the Scirocco Coupe ended. Treat this as a real indication of how the market has changed. This T-Roc is now a stylish SUV which is fun to drive for people who don’t necessarily need all the space for a family… Much like how the Scirocco was a stylish coupe which was fun to drive for people who didn’t need all the space of the Golf. See what I’m getting at? The T-Roc is an SUV which isn’t particularly more practical than a Golf Hatchback but it sits much taller, it looks meaner, and it has proper 4x4 capabilities. Prices start from £19,270, which is £40 cheaper than the Golf and it can be equipped with the 1.6 TDi engine from the Golf which will return 64 mpg. Alternatively, you could just choose the 2.0 TSi engine from the Polo GTi and find yourself doing 0-60 mph in 7.2 seconds and have some proper fun while doing so. It is a sporty SUV after all...
