Renault’s city runaround praised for its charm
The All-New Renault Twingo has been named ‘City Car of the Year’ in the 2014 TopGear Magazine Awards. The All-New Twingo showed that good things can indeed come in small packages as it held its own amongst other winners including supercars, exotica and more expensive machinery.
The All-New Twingo went on sale in the UK in September and, since its appearance, the city runaround has been praised for its charm, looks, clever packaging and innovative rear-engined rear-wheel-drive layout.
The Twingo, now in its third generation, is available with a choice of two efficient petrol engines and three trim levels, including many personalisation options.
Priced from just £9,495, the new Renault Twingo was inspired not only by the original Twingo, but also by the classic Renault 5.
It is a modern, vibrant and playful take on the city car genre and places the accent on innovation in terms of its lines and architecture. The exterior boasts a sleek profile, concealed rear door handles and plenty of scope for personalisation thanks to the range of body colours and customisable options. These include exterior trim features, such as the door mirrors, side protective mouldings and decals. The four body colours and customisation options mean that the new Twingo can take on a host of stances, from urban to sporty and from feminine and macho.
