Arnold Clark joins up with TyreSafe

Ensuring Tyre Safety Message

Europe’s largest independently owned family run car company Arnold Clark has become the first car dealer group to join TyreSafe. TyreSafe is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of correct tyre maintenance and the dangers of defective and worn tyres. Joining up with TyreSafe will ensure that the tyre safety message will reach more motorists in Scotland and northern England. Arnold Clark have one hundred and nine dealerships north of the border plus thirty six branches in England so there is no doubt that motorists will have a much better access to a range of tyre safety advice and information when buying a new car or having their existing model serviced.

October is National Tyre Safety Month

Did you know that October is National Tyre Safety Month? This is the month that raises awareness of your responsibility for ensuring your tyres are safe, legal and in a roadworthy state, as the only point of contact with the road surface, your safety depends on it. Failure to comply with the minimum regulations can result in fines of up to £2500 and three penalty points for each illegal tyre. This could cost you your license, or even worse, your life.

As TyreSafe’s newest member, Arnold Clark will quickly be championing tyre safety month across its 145 network, including offering free tyre safety checks throughout October. Customers can also benefit from a variety tyre safety advice and material, including how to check tyres for the correct air pressure, from its expert staff. The move builds on the company’s established success in this area after it was named as AM’s tyre retailer of the year and retailer of the year on 2012 and 2013 respectively.
