Used Jaguars checked by specialists, backed by a warranty then teamed with other extras to guarantee peace of mind.
10-Point Customer Promise
The Jaguar Approved Programme ensures your second-hand car is in “the best possible condition” when you receive its keys, the manufacturer explained. Company representatives also provide the same care and attention that new buyers receive. The Programme's 10-Point Customer Promise incorporates both pre/post sale benefits.
Jaguar Approved Warranty
The Approved Warranty covers a wide range of mechanical and electrical parts for 2 years. It applies if your car has covered less than 100,000 at the point of sale. There is no limit to the number of claims – up to the sale price – or any further mileage limitations. The warranty provides “peace of mind”, jaguar claimed.
The 2 Year UK and European Roadside Assistance is your back-up should there be (say) a puncture, breakdown or collision. It incorporates: home start, onward travel, vehicle recovery plus overnight accommodation and is available 24 hours a day, every day.
The 165 Multi-Point Inspection ensures that the mechanical components, electrical systems, paint, interior and other parts meet the required standard. If work is required, it is completed before the car hits the forecourt. It is professionally valeted, too.
Jaguar trained technicians have access to brand specific tools, diagnostic equipment and components. “It takes a certain type of person to deliver the levels of professionalism, skill, and attention to detail that we expect”, the motor manufacturer stated.
Mileage and History Check
The Independent Mileage and History Check provides further peace of mind. Jaguar consults external sources to confirm the vehicle is not subject to outstanding finance – in which case it could be repossessed by the finance provider – that it has not been stolen or written-off, and the mileage stated on the dashboard is correct.
The Road Test enables the technician to ensure that the vehicle performs to the high standards typical of the brand. Inspected systems include the: suspension, brakes, engine and transmission.
Part Exchange Service
Jaguar runs a “professional, expert, part exchange service” to make buying your next vehicle straightforward, the manufacturer explained. It added that its service is available “no matter what” car you currently own and that its trade-in prices are competitive.
MOT Test Warranty
The MOT Test Warranty minimises expense if your car fails its first, or next, MOT. Jaguar pays up to £750 toward the cost of fixing, replacing or adjusting numerous parts. The excess is £50.
Conditional Vehicle Exchange Agreement
The Conditional Vehicle Exchange Agreement requires the manufacturer to replace the vehicle with something of similar specification if it has a demonstrable fault that cannot be resolved to your satisfaction. This option is available for the first 30 days/1,000 miles. You might, alternatively, take a refund.
Drive Away Insurance
The Complementary, 7 Day, Jaguar Drive Away Insurance eliminates the need to swap insurance from your current vehicle to its replacement prior to collection. It also enables the motor manufacture – without first requiring proof from you that the replacement is insured – to arrange Vehicle Excise Duty (road tax).
Online Search Tool
The Jaguar website makes it straightforward to find a suitable, second-hand, vehicle. Options include the: XE, XF, XF Sportbrake, XJ, F-Type, XK and F-Pace. Further search criteria includes the: engine, fuel type, transmission, body style, variant, seat material, seat colour, price, age, distance from a convenient postcode, mileage, paint colour plus options/specialised equipment.
