Broadcaster Andrew Castle received the keys to the new Ford Fiesta which his seventeen year old daughter will learn to drive in. The Ford Fiesta is a three door Titanium with a 1.4 litre 96PS petrol engine. Standard features include Sony DAB radio, Bluetooth voice control and USB connectivity, cruise control, front upper grille chrome strip, power operated folding door mirrors, privacy glass, electronic automatic temperature control (EATC), automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, two rear speakers and a perimeter alarm plus a reversing camera.
Andrew Castle said "we've had a Fiesta in the family for a couple of years now and so it was a natural choice for me as Claudia will need driving practice. It's easy to drive and maneuverable and we all like the modern style. From Claudia's point of view it's the Bluetooth, MP3 streaming, USB connectivity and the hot magenta colour that matter first. I will be glad of the new reversing camera, ESP and airbags though, as I have to take her out on London roads!"
The Ford Fiesta is still the UK’s best selling car with 65,270 sold this year. The car is smart, drives well and is offered with a range of economical engines. The three door model looks sportier but the five door is more practical. The Ford Fiesta is easy on fuel, cheap to insure and holds its value well. The Ford Fiesta Econetic model has impressively low CO2 emissions of 98g/km, so there is no road tax to pay and a lower rate of ‘benefit in kind’ tax if it's a company car.
