The new Citroen DS5 has achieved a five star safety rating in the latest Euro NCAP crash tests.
Citroën UK’s Managing Director, Linda Jackson said; “attention to safety is paramount in any Citroën model and we’re delighted that the New DS5 has performed so well in the latest Euro NCAP tests. This stunning new car will soon be joining an exciting product line that sets some of the highest standards for safety in their respective classes.”
The Citroën eTouch Emergency & Assistance system, which earned the DS5, together with Citroën’s other latest models, the Euro NCAP Advanced award is a system that automatically or manually makes emergency or assistance calls, using a built-in SIM card, for precise vehicle localisation and rapid intervention in the event of an accident or if the car is immobilised.
The new Citroen DS5 is a four door; five seat executive car featuring styling cues from the Citroen DS3 supermini and the Citroen DS4 hatchback it will make its European premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show on Tuesday 13 September and goes on sale in the UK early in 2012.
