Descendant of the Ferrari family takes first ever spin
Italian born Rosa Maria Vaccari is closely related to the great Ferrrai dynasty but has never had the pleasure of being taken for a spin in one
Italian born Rosa Maria Vaccari is closely related to the great Ferrrai dynasty but has never had the pleasure of being taken for a spin in one. Rosa’s mother was Elivira Ferrari and her grandfather Eduardo Ferrari the cousin of Enzo Ferrari. Rosa recently celebrated her 85th birthday and to celebrate this special birthday her daughter Rosemary Quaye took Rosa for a celebratory lunch at Nunsmere Hall Hotel in Northwich and arranged for her to have a surprise spin around the grounds in a classic red Ferrari 355.
Classic Ferrari owner Gary Carter took time off work to give the special surprise to the Cheshire grandmother. Gary co-owns a jewellery business and was more than happy to help out for the surprise.
Rosemary said “it is 52 years since my Mum was last in her native Italy and over the years, she has lost contact with that side of the family although she hasn’t forgotten them or the car.” After Rosa’s spin in the Ferrari around the hotel she said “I have waited 50 years for a ride in the ‘family’ car but it was worth the wait. “It was a really special birthday surprise.”
