Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli had his car confiscated at the weekend just days after admitting he is a serial car parking offender.
It was reported that Balotelli has approximately £12,000 worth of tickets outstanding but he has said this is not possible but admits he has a lot of parking fines maybe around 20. A source at the club said "Mario will drive from his luxury apartment to a restaurant a few streets away and leave the car on double yellows. The £100,000-a-week Italian striker has had an average of three parking tickets a day since he signed for the Premier League club last year.”
Staff at Manchester City FC have reclaimed the Maserati time and time again, on one occasion Balotelli just abandoned the car when it misfired. Balotelli has also paid £300,000 in club fines, most recently for throwing darts at a youth team player. On the field he has had ten yellow cards and two reds in only 24 appearances.
