We enjoyed a very eventful Formula 1 Qualifying session in China, and just like the first two races of the season, Mclaren and Red Bull were dominant.Renault and Mercedes started Qualifying well with Nico Rosberg setting the benchmark time with Vitaly Petrov only 0.098 of a second behind him. The biggest surprise in Qualifying came when Mark Webber failed to qualify from the first of the three shootout sessions, placing him 18th on the grid for tomorrows race. The reason for this is reportedly because of a problem with his KERS system. Both Force Indias did well with Adrian Sutil 11th, and birthday boy Paul Di Resta sitting on 8th. Fernando Alonso will start the race in 5th with team mate Felipe Massa 6th. Nico Rosberg qualified on P4 with team-mate Michael Schumacher starting on P14. Vitaly Petrov qualified 10th because a problem with the gearbox on his car prevented him to take part in the last shootout session. Sebastian Vettel sits on pole position for the race after setting the fastest time of 1m33.706s, with Jenson Button on P2 and Lewis Hamilton on P3 after being +0.715s and +0.757s respectively.
