Forecourt Update: New SKODA Fabia Estate

ŠKODA Fabia Estate Enters Third Generation

What Is it?

The 2015 ŠKODA Fabia Estate is a practical, cost effective, and safe family car that has “simply clever” features. ŠKODA claims this new, third generation, supermini based estate blends “dynamic design features” with “outstanding practicality and efficiency”.

Fabia Estate styling is reminiscent of the outgoing model but – its manufacturer says – incorporates an “optically stronger” grille and headlights. The overall look is intended to create a “silhouette that makes the car look like it is in motion even when stationary.”

Cargo capacity is 1,395-litres which the manufacture says is the “largest in its segment”. With the rear seats upright, capacity only falls to 530-litres which is substantial for any class. Cargo can be held in position via the standard-fit luggage hooks and optional net system. Furthermore, the boot floor is 960mm wide which is more than its predecessor – and access is straightforward thanks to the large tailgate aperture that measure 900mm/1,028mm.

The passenger compartment is also longer and wider, and front passengers have more headroom. The cabin incorporates “simply clever” features such as storage compartments under the front seats. Optional extras include the waste bin the door pocket.

What Are The Engine Options?

ŠKODA claims that running costs have been “reduced by up to 14%” compared to the outgoing model. 2015 Fabia Estate engine include:
