New Trim Offers Highest Specification To Date
What Is it?
The Volkswagen Amarok Ultimate is a special edition, top of the range, version of the manufacturer's pick-up truck. This UK model is limited to a production run of 500 units.
The Ultimate trim is distinguished by the: bi-xenon headlights, 19–inch polished alloy wheels and the double chrome strips on the radiator grille. These complement the LED daytime running lights that - VW says - “give the vehicle a unique light signature at night”.
What Are The Engine Options?
The Ultimate trim is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine. It can be connected to 6-speed manual transmission – with selectable 4-wheel-drive - or an 8-speed auto with permanent.
In manual form, this power plant produces 180PS and 400Nm of torque. It propels the driver to 62mph in 11 seconds, averages 35.3mpg and emits carbon at a rate of 211g/km.
In auto form, the engine continues to produce 180PS but has 420Nm of torque (rather than 400). 0-62mph takes 11.3 seconds, it averages 33.2mpg and emissions are 224g/km.
