The all new Suzuki Swift took part in the recent 2010 MPG Marathon and achieved fantastic results. The Suzuki Swift 1.2 with Dual VVT 94ps achieved an overall fuel consumption figure of 68.10 mpg.
Thirty four vehicles competed in the 380 mile route starting at Ettington in Stratford upon Avon. The route was designed to reflect normal daily driving conditions and included major roads, motorways and dual carriageways.
The new Suzuki Swift goes on sale as a three and five door model in the UK this autumn and is priced at approximately £9995 for the SZ2 three door model. This latest Suzuki Swift is slightly longer with a 50mm increase in wheelbase. The lower profile tyres allow for better handling and the extensive use of higher strength steel makes the new bodyshell lighter and stiffer than before. The all new Suzuki Swift is one of the cleanest petrol cars in the Supermini sector with emissions of just 116g/km; it also offers low cost of ownership from its £30 annual VED charge and group 8E insurance.
