H&H Classics Auction Heads Back to the Future
Fancy heading back to the future in a DeLorean?
Fancy heading back to the future in a DeLorean? If so, bid for this mighty machine at the H&H Classics Auction on April 19th 2012 at the Imperial War Museum. Its estimate is only £20,000 to £24,000 – which is the price of a new Ford Mondeo. Other temptingly affordable prospects include a 1973 Porsche 911 T and a 1968 Ford Cortina 1600E, which are estimated at £7,000 to £8,000 and £4,000 to £5,000, respectively. You might even pick-up the 1947 Morris Eight Series E for between £3,000 and £4,000. That is used Ford Fiesta money, so classic lovers can have their dream vehicles without selling their kidneys.Moving to more expensive vehicles we find the 1951 Jaguar Mk V 3.5-litre Drophead Coupé. This is finished with gleaming white paint, and estimated at £50,000 to £60,000. Or, how about the 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet? Not for the shy and retiring, I suspect, and not for the hard-up. Its estimate is £150,000 to £180,000, which is the price of lots of Mondeos. Further highlights include the: 1973 Jenson Interceptor Mk 3, the 1924 Rolls-Royce 20hp Tourer, the in-your-face 1950 Jaguar XK120 Roadster, the 1905 Rover 6hp, and the colourful 1972 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV. Who could possibly pick a favourite?
