Hyundai Go! Special Editions Revealed For Euro 2016
Hyundai prepares for Euro 2016 by confirming price and specification of football inspired, Special Edition, i10 & i20.
New i10 Go! Special Edition features
Hyundai has confirmed the price and specification of Go! Special Edition, Euro 2016, versions of the i10 and i20. These trims – that were first seen at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 and cost £9,545 and £11,545, respectively – have numerous extras to celebrate the tournament and help drivers stand out from the crowd.
The i10 Go! Special Edition is a compact, city class, car that measures 3,665mm long by 1,660mm wide. Euro 2016 takes place in France, so that nation's flag inspires the exterior colours. This 5-door hatchback is, therefore, only available with Passion Red, Polar White and Aqua Sparkling paint. Numbers are limited to 1,250.
Further exterior enhancements include LED daytime running lights that minimise the risk of collision by making it more visible on the road. Front fog lights, “sporty” side mouldings and special badges further emphasises its status within the range. The New i10 Go! also has dark tinted privacy glass from the b-pillar backwards.
Cabin enhancements include black seats that incorporate blue, contrast, stitching and logos on the front headrests. Further Go! trim extras include: Bluetooth that enables motorists to stream music and keep in touch hands-free, steering wheel phone and audio controls, and a leather steering wheel with blue contrast stitches.
The Hyundai i10 Go! Special Edition has a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, petrol engine teamed with 5-speed manual transmission. This combination propels motorists from 0-62mph in 14.9 seconds, averages 60.1mpg, returns 47.1mpg in town and manages 70.6mpg on the extra-urban cycle. It also emits carbon at the rate of 108g/km.
New i20 Go! extras
The Hyundai i20 Go! Special Edition is a larger, supermini, class vehicle that measures 4,035mm by 1,734mm. Like the i10 Go!, it has red, white or blue paint, LED daytime running lights, special badges and “sporty” side body mouldings. However, it also has projection headlamps and cornering lights which improve visibility.
The i20 Go! cabin shares its counterpart's black upholstery, blue stitches and headrest logos. However, the air vents and gear stick surrounds are also finished in blue. Special Edition equipment extras include automatic windscreen wipers, plus automatic lights.
The i20 Go! has a 1.2-litre, 84PS, petrol engine. This unit is bolted to 5-speed manual transmission, carbon emissions total 112g/km and it averages 55.4mpg. Efficiency falls to 42.8mpg in town rising to 67.3mpg on a extra-urban run. Numbers are limited to 750.
