Production begins September
Hyundai has released the first picture of New Generation i10 which is the company’s completely new European A-segment car. This new model is longer, wider and lower than its predecessor and will provide the best in class legroom and luggage capacity. The boot space has been boosted by more than ten percent with all seats in place. The car offers the highest levels of comfort and safety equipment. The interior is stylish and features are outstanding including automatic climate control, heated leather steering wheel and cruise control with speed limiter. The driving dynamic and low noise levels plus the features are all closer to the standard of B-segment cars.
Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe said “New Generation i10 is another significant step forward for Hyundai Motor. Every aspect of the car has been designed and rigorously developed to meet the demands and needs of European consumers. New Generation i10 fully embodies Hyundai’s ‘true value’ proposition, bringing higher levels of features and functionality than many buyers would expect to find in a vehicle of this segment.”
The Hyundai i10 was recently voted the ‘best buy city car’ it is impressively practical for a city car, with decent space for four adults, great access to the cabin and a reasonable boot that can be extended by folding the rear seats. The Hyundai i10 has always been one of Hyundai’s top selling models, last year Hyundai brought out the sub 100g/km Blue model. This special eco edition of the Hyundai i10 emits an astonishingly low 99g/km CO2, so it gains exemption from VED and the London Congestion Charge. The i10 is capable of 0-62mph in just 12.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 102mph so it is great around town and can keep up on the motorway.
Production commences September
Production begins in September for the New Generation i10; the car will be made at Hyundai’s factory in Turkey. Once New Generation i10 goes on sale across Europe, 90% of Hyundai cars sold in Europe will be built in the region.
The New Generation i10 will most definitely be a top seller for Hyundai the improvements are first class and the order books will be busy.
