Jaguar E-Type For Sale
Want a Jaguar E-Type 3.8 FHC Series 1 more than oxygen?
Want a Jaguar E-Type 3.8 FHC Series 1 more than oxygen? If so, check-out Barons' Auction at the Sandown Park Exhibition Complex on October 30th 2012. Here, a 1964 example in Signal Red will be ready to take your breath away. It is thought this car has covered 36,000 miles since new - and it has been with its present owner since 1993. During this time, Barons report, the transmission has been 'completely overhauled'. Work has also been completed on the brakes, clutch, suspension, electrics, body, interior, and cooling system. This remarkable machine has even been equipped with new twin horns. I suspect the cost of these improvements would make anyone gasp for air... but whatever the price it was worth it. This E-Type looks fantastic and should sell for between £37,000 and £40,000.But this E-Type will not be the only breathtaking prospect at the auction. A 1976 Jaguar XJ6 3.4 S2 finished in 'Sable' (brown) will also make its presence felt. This comes with the original sales invoice and tool kit, and has only covered 1,000 during the current owner's seven year love affair. What a tempting prospect for only £5,000 to £7,000. Auction highlights also include the 1965 Fiat 500D (£7,500 to £9,000), the 1962 Mercedes Benz 190SL (£28,500 to £33,500), the 1978 MG Midget 1500 (£1,800 to £2,700), the 1972 Triumph Stag MkI (£11,500 to £13,500), and the 1977 Jaguar XJC 4.2 Coupé (£6,000 to £8,000). I would like the lot... but would hold my breath for months to own that 1964 E- Type.
