Jaguar Land Rover will expand its workforce to support the launch of new Jaguar models including the new Jaguar XF. A recruitment campaign has started for more than 1100 jobs.
Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, said “innovation in design, engineering and technology is at the core of our business and for the UK, this means we will continue to invest in new products, develop new technologies and enhance the skills of our employees. The launch of our latest Jaguar models, including the new XF Sportbrake later this year, means it is a very exciting time for Jaguar. These new models will attract new customers to the brand as we look to expand our global reach and further enhance our position in the market.”
Jaguar announced the engine line up for the new XF Sportbrake last month. The new XF is powered by a range of powerful, yet efficient, diesel engines in 2.2 and 3.0 litre capacities, both share highly competitive CO2 emissions starting from just 135 g/km and returning 55.4 mpg. The Sportbrake will also be available equipped with a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine in 240 PS Diesel and 275 PS Diesel S derivatives. Each emits 163 g/km of CO2 and returns 46mpg on the combined cycle. The Diesel S is capable of 0-60 mph in just 6.1 seconds. Prices start from £31,940.
