Jaguar Landrover Success creates 800 jobs

Record breaking sales for Jaguar Landrover has created up to eight hundred new jobs at their manufacturing plant in Solihull

Record breaking sales for Jaguar Landrover has created up to eight hundred new jobs at their manufacturing plant in Solihull. LandRover sold more cars in 2012 than ever before and Jaguar sales were up six percent. The new Range Rover Evoque would have been part of this massive success as worldwide sales topped one hundred thousand sales, plus the arrival of the new Range Rover to the line-up. Global Brand Director John Edwards said "2012 was an excellent year for Land Rover; we delivered a powerful global performance throughout the year across all markets, with the highlight being that we have sold more vehicles this year than ever before in our sixty five year history. Our updated model line-up and the debut of the new Range Rover have created a real buzz around the brand with customers clearly delighted with our offerings."

The Range Rover Evoque has an award winning design, plus innovative Range Rover technologies, including Terrain Response, dual-view touch screen, surround camera system and an array of personalisation options to suit customer needs. It is capable of 0-62mph in 10.6 seconds and returns approximately 58mpg, the standard equipment is of a high standard and includes heated front seats, an 8-inch high-resolution touch screen display, climate control air conditioning, an 11-speaker Meridian audio system with subwoofer, push-button start, BluetoothTM for mobile phone connection and audio streaming, twin USB ports, which support portable audio connectivity and cruise control. No wonder the Evoque is such a huge success it has just about everything to offer and is priced very competitively from £29,000.

Jaguar’s sale performance is very encouraging, the launch of the XF 2.2 Diesel, XF and XJ 3.0 litre powertrains have widened the brands portfolio. The Jaguar XF is very successful globally and not just in the UK. Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark said "this year saw the completion of a revitalised Jaguar line-up. We now have a very strong desirable range of products which are clearly capturing the public's imagination. We plan to continue growing in 2013 with the stunning new F-TYPE.” The Jaguar XF has won numerous awards and was awarded ‘Car of the Decade’ last year. The introduction of the 2.2-litre diesel engine to the XF range has opened doors in the corporate market which will no doubt bring increased sales. The Jaguar XF 2.2 Diesel SE 163PS is priced from £29,940 and brings a host of standard features that you won’t find standard in any other luxury saloon.
